3D Modeling

For the first time in many, many years, I busted out my copy of Blender and tried some 3D modeling. After playing with text, extrusions, bump maps, and simple spin animations, I’m not as rusty as I would assume after about 10 years. Add in some rough animated GIF magic, and it’s not too bad for about an hour of work.

When I was a teenager and had a lot of time on my hands, especially over the summer, I spent a lot of time using Blender and contemplating a career in 3D animation. While I loved majoring in Theatre, I can’t help but wonder what kind of career I would have had if I had formal education in 3D modeling.
