Friday Favorites 9/14/12

I’m back to blogging and that means that Friday Favorites is back!

This week’s theme is “awesome living spaces”.

Living in the Nautilus house must turn you into a very posh snail. The stained-glass front wall is amazing. If you look closely, part of the wall pivots and is the front door. The entryway looks like a twisted indoor version of Munchkinland. I look at the indoor garden and immediately think “instant allergy attack”, but it’s so beautiful. After ascending the stairs you end up in the living areas, complete with sculpted cubbies for furniture and accessories.

This is the famous Star Trek apartment from Trekkies 2 (which I watched recently on Netflix). Tony Alleyne is well-known as the creator of the apartment, but I didn’t realize that he actually is an interior designer. I wonder if he could Trek up my bathroom…

There are a TON of other hi-res pictures on his official website.

For some reason, Utah has been gifted with a replica of the house from the Disney/Pixar movie UP. A replica, except I doubt that Carl and Ellie had a movie theater in their house. Plus, this one doesn’t fly.

The UP house was bought by a Disney-loving couple, and they have posted a video tour of the sitting room. The room is as movie-accurate as humanly possible, down to the tiniest of details. My favorite part is seeing the couple’s wedding picture framed next to Carl and Ellie’s. So cute!
