Friday Favorites 8/10/12

There are about a million and one videos I’ve been loving on this week, so I’m going to do a video post. Whoooooop.

Patrick Stewart is a genius. He’s the best actor in the world and he doesn’t take himself seriously. He does Shakespeare, Star Trek, and X-Men. And now he’s the best Olympic ticket scalper there ever was. Bravo, Sir Patrick Stewart. Bravo.

Ok, this is a very serious video. It made me cry. Talia Joy is a vlogger and she does makeup tutorials, even though she’s only twelve years old. She doesn’t like wearing wigs to cover up the effects of chemotherapy, so she uses makeup instead, and she’s very passionate about it. She’s been diagnosed with a second type of cancer and in this video explains why she might choose not to go into treatment again. If you want to be inspired to live every day to its fullest, you should listen to her.

To be totally brutally honest, this is better than the original song. Sorry, Gotye.

And finally, this girl is a super epically awesome violinist. She’s just a smidgen below Emilie Autumn in my book. Plus, a rock violin Phantom of the Opera medley kind of makes my heart go fluttery.
