I Do Have Stuff To Write About, But I’m Busy With Other Things

I’ve already posted this to Twitter and Facebook, but I thought it needed some extra-special love here too. Because, let’s face it, playing a workweek’s worth of games in a two-week span of time is both commendable and slightly pathetic. My normal Steam rating is probably somewhere around two, so a ten is both an accomplishment and a testament to the shame I should be feeling at the amount of time I’ve wasted.

BUT I have been putting some of that time to good use. I’ve started making gameplay commentary videos. I’m still smitten with YouTube, but being in front of the camera just takes way too much out of me. Once, a long time ago (before YouTube) I would have relished the opportunity. Now I’d rather be a voiceover artist than giving the camera the ol’ winky-wink. (I honestly feel like such a cheeseball when I’m on video.)

What sucks is that I’m not super proud of the videos I’m doing right now. I definitely need to learn how to focus, speak more clearly, and not sound like a total derp. But at least I see where I need to improve and I’m working on it.
